Drawing windows with bars

To be able to draw a window with bars, you must have first placed a normal, rectangular window.

Follow these steps after placing a window:

  1. Right-click the window in the drawing area. A menu appears.

  2. Click Properties to open the Window/Door properties dialog box.

  3. Go to Horizontal bars and enter the desired number of bars.

  4. Next, go to Vertical bars and enter the desired number of bars. When you look in the 3D view, you will see that the window now has bars (see Figure 1 below).

Note:

  • After placing a window you can still change its width, height and other values, by selecting the component and entering new settings in the input box that appears.

  • You can also stretch the component manually after placing it by clicking and dragging the different yellow snap points.

  • Pointer: To make it easier to position components, set a reference point first.
