Zooming in on selected object

The Zoom in Selected Object feature (see Figure 1) is used to quickly zoom in on an object in the drawing area. This feature is accessed from the toolbars above both the 2D and 3D views. For this feature to be activated (so that the icon is not gray), you have to select an object in the drawing area.

Follow these steps:

  1. Select the component you want to zoom in on. On the toolbar, the Zoom in Selected Object button is activated.

  2. Click it. The selected component is shown in a close-up.

Note:

  • An alternative way to zoom in on a selected object in the 2D view is to place the mouse pointer on the desired object and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom.

  • An alternative way to zoom in on a selected object in the 3D view is to click on the desired object (to display the red focus point) and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom.

  • If finer zooming is required, press and hold down the Ctrl key while scrolling the mouse wheel.

  • If even finer zooming is required, press and hold down the Shift key while scrolling the mouse wheel.
