Zooming out gradually

With the Zoom Out feature (see Figure 1 below) you zoom out gradually from a selected object in the drawing area. This feature is accessed from the toolbars above both the 2D and 3D views.

Follow these steps:

  1. Select the component you want to zoom out from.

  2. Click Zoom Out several times until you're far enough from the object.

 

Note:

  • An alternative way to zoom out on a selected object in the 2D view is to place the mouse pointer on the desired object and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom.

  • An alternative way to zoom out on a selected object in the 3D view is to click on the desired object (to display the red focus point) and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom.

  • If finer zooming is required, press and hold down the Ctrl key while scrolling the mouse wheel.

  • If even finer zooming is required, press and hold down the Shift key while scrolling the mouse wheel.
