A simple way to select several components at a time is by using the Lasso tool.

Follow these steps:
Make sure you have chosen Expert user level.
On the toolbar above the 2D view, click the button with the blue, dashed lasso icon (see Figure 1 above).
Move the mouse pointer to the drawing area. Now you have three options:
Click and hold the mouse button and move the mouse pointer through the components you wish to select (see Figure 2).
Click and hold the mouse button and move the mouse pointer around the group of components you wish to select (see Figure 3).
Click in the drawing area, move the mouse pointer and click again. Repeat the procedure till the lines have surrounded the components you wish to select (see Figure 4).
When you release the mouse button, the lasso disappears. The yellow snap points are now visible on all selected components. The components are also surrounded by purple squares.

Note: If you have selected a group of components by using the "clicking technique" (see Figure 4), you need to double-click or move the mouse pointer outside the drawing area to make the lasso to disappear. |
