One of the largest advantages with a user based license model is that possible delays are eliminated from the license handling.. The license administrator orders and gives licenses to end users over the internet, which only takes minutes, and the licenses are immediately ready for use.
Another advantage with a user based license model is that all license keys are replaced by personal logins. This means that you can install and use InstantPlanner on as many computers as you want. Each license is tied to a specific user account, which lets you work anytime and anywhere, just by logging in.
To run InstantPlanner, your license administrator has to provide you with a license. You can then log in to the program with a user name (your MyConfigura ID) and a password. To get a user name and password, you need to set up a user account on the MyConfigura website, http://my.configura.com.
MyConfigura handles the communication between the InstantPlanner software and the license server. By setting up a user account on MyConfigura, you get a MyConfigura ID, which is your corporate email address. You also register a password as well as contact details. To be able to log in to and run InstantPlanner, you enter your MyConfigura ID and password. This launches InstantPlanner and lets you continue your work as usual.
MyConfigura is also a community that is provided by the Configura company. On the Briefcases tab, you can create discussion threads that are open only to people that you have invited. Somebody at DeLaval, for example, could create a DeLaval briefcase, invite all DeLaval users and share information in a quick and accessible way - available only for DeLaval users. At a later stage, it will also be possible to upload images and drawings straight from the program to a briefcase and then share them with co-workers or customers.
To make sure that you don't miss important information, emails are sent out from Configura. You will, for example, receive an email when your license request is approved or denied. To ensure that you don't miss important information, we recommend that you add us to your safe sender list or download our vCard.
With the new license model comes the possibility to use InstantPlanner in an offline mode for two weeks, i.e. you can work without an internet connection for two weeks. It is important to go online before the time ends to connect to the license server and renew your license; otherwise it will expire. Also remember that, for a transitional phase, you can continue to use the hardware certificate, should you experience problems with logging in to InstantPlanner.
