Some components (such as rectangles) are built up as one object. This means that the program handles the rectangle as one line.
The consequences of this is that:
If you want to remove, or change the height of one or more but not all of the sides of the rectangle, you need to split up the rectangle first. If the rectangle is not split up, the changes will apply to all its sides.
If you have drawn a room with a rectangle and want to use the camera’s Limited area function for a picture of the room, then you have to split up the rectangle first. If the rectangle is not split up, the camera’s Limited area function will not work.
To explode a rectangle, follow the instructions below:
Right-click on one of the rectangles sides. A pop-up menu will appear.
Choose Explode from the pop-up menu.
You can also activate the rectangle and then choose Explode from the Edit menu.
