About using and changing colors

There are many options for changing colors and materials for most of CET Designer's general components. Walls, floors and other surfaces can be changed and adapted through the use of predefined colors, textures or colors you create yourself.

Example:

You want to change a wall's color from gray to red.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the component tab 3D.

  2. Under Material Change, click Material. A dialog box opens (see Figure 1 below).

  1. Click the Predefined tab where you will find many different colors and materials. Expand the Color option by clicking the plus sign. All subheadings are now shown.

  2. Select Red and click the Use button at the bottom of the dialog box.

  3. Move the mouse pointer to the drawing area. A paint can follows.

  4. Move the mouse pointer to the wall with the color you want to change. The edges of the wall are now marked with the yellow you selected.

  5. Click to make the color switch.

Note:

  • When you select the Change Selected check box, the color switch takes place automatically on the component selected in the drawing area, as soon as you choose a color from the list.

  • Instead of a color you can also apply a texture to a wall for a more realistic, tactile feel.
