Bays

You have already drawn a template layout that consists of a couple of template rows with aisles in between. Now you would like to fill the templates with identical cantilever units.

Proceed as follows:

1. In the Bay field, pick the Auto/Copy component (third button from the left). Snap it to one of the template components on the drawing area and click.

2. The whole template layout is automatically filled with cantilever units and below the drawing, you can see an elevation of the unit.

You would like to position a row of three identical, single cantilever units in the drawing area.

Proceed as follows:

1. Select the Bay component and place it in the desired location in the drawing area by clicking.

2. In this example, you want three units so click another two times to place these in the drawing area. Leave the drawing area or press the Escape key to drop the component that appears automatically.

3. Back on the component tab, select the Elevation component and move the component close to one of the units on the drawing area until the elevation snaps to it. Click to position the Elevation.

4. Move the mouse pointer outside the drawing area or press the Escape key to release the new elevation that appears automatically. In the drawing area, you now have three units, of which one has an elevation.

5. Now, in order to copy the elevation in the drawing area, double-click on it. A dashed little rectangle with an "R" inside appears (a copy of Reference 1).

6. Move the rectangle close to the unit nearest to the one that already has an elevation. When it snaps, click to drop it.

7. Without leaving the drawing area, go to the next unit and click. Continue until all the shelving units have references, i.e. are marked with "R 1".
