You can stretch and shrink the dimensions after they have been positioned on the drawing area. It is also possible to change the settings for dimensions after you have positioned them in the drawing area.
In order to change a dimension in the drawing area, follow the instructions below:
Right-click on component. A pop-up menu is displayed.
Choose Settings from the pop-up menu. The Settings dialog is displayed.
The Settings dialog is practically the same for all dimension components. It has one tab that contains the following fields:
Under Text, in the Size box, you change the size of the dimension text.
In the Text box below, it is possible to change or enter a completely new dimension text. Checking the Lock text option will ensure that the modified dimension text remains, even if you stretch the dimension in the drawing area.
If you want the dimension unit displayed in the drawing area, select the first checkbox, Show unit.
The Rotate text button enables you to rotate the dimension text. You can also access this command by right-clicking on the dimension and selecting it straight from the pop-up menu.
The Graphics field contains the following settings:
Distance - here you change the distance between the dimension line and the line you want to dimension.
Gap - enables you to change the size of the gap between the adjacent dimension lines and the line (wall etc.) you are dimensioning.
Arrow type - change the selected arrow type for your dimensions.
Line width - change the selected line width for your dimensions.
In the Continuous field you can determine whether or not you want the chain dimension and/or the accumulative displayed in the drawing area.
When you have made the desired changes, always confirm with OK or Apply.
