Under the heading Doors, there are four components: Door, Double door, Rollgate and Sliding door.
Provided that you have pre-set a height for the doors in the Defaults dialog, they will appear in 3D.
You place doors in the same way as line drawing components. You can also stretch and rotate doors and change their color in the plan view as well as in 3D.
The easiest way of placing doors in a drawing is to use reference points that the doors can snap to. You can also place doors without reference points.
To place a Door between two reference points, follow the instructions below:
Select the door from the House Components tab. Release the mouse button and move the door onto the drawing area.
Move the mouse pointer towards the reference point where you want to fix the door. The door snaps to the reference point. Click once to fix the door.
Without holding the mouse button down, move the mouse pointer lengthways towards the second reference point to stretch the door. The door snaps to the second reference point, click once to fix the door. An input display is shown.
Enter the door's Depth and Orientation, use the Tab key to move from one field to the next. The Depth should be the same as the thickness of the wall, which is shown in the input display when you move the mouse pointer up and down over the wall (Figure 1). Orientation can be either R for right or L for left. Click once just next to the reference point. A new input display is shown.
In this display you can specify Door side, R for right or L for left, and Door angle. In the Door angle field, you specify how far open the door should be. You can also choose to have the door fully closed. Use the Tab key to move from one field to the next. Close the display by clicking once just next to the door. The door's yellow snap points are now visible, which confirms that it is snapped in position.
An identical door is now attached to the mouse pointer. Move the mouse pointer off the drawing area if you do not wish to place more doors.

Another way to place doors is to use a reference point and the input display.
To do this, follow the instructions below:
Select the door from the House Components tab. Release the mouse button and move the door onto the drawing area.
