About navigating

The toolbars above the 2D and 3D views (see Figure 1 and Figure 2 below) in CET Designer contain a number of features which make it easier to zoom, navigate and maneuver objects in the two views. When you hover the mouse pointer on an icon, a tool tip appears. Which features that are available depends on which user level is currently active, Standard or Expert.

Note:

  • If you would like more space in the drawing area without changing the scale, you can easily move the entire drawing area. Click and hold on an empty space in the drawing area, and move in the desired direction. In the 2D view this feature is called Pan, and in 3D view Pan Camera.

  • Apart from selecting your commonly used commands from the toolbar, you can also right-click and get several of them from the popup menu that appears.

  • The 2D and 3D view toolbars differ depending on whether CET Designer runs in Standard mode or Expert mode. All figures in the chapter About navigating are from Standard mode.
